Hello Pack 643 Family!

I hope everyone is having a good week.  Our Fall Campout is quickly approaching, and I wanted to make sure everyone has an opportunity to sign up and / or ask questions.  Below are the details.  Please pay special attention to the sections regarding Safeguarding Youth and Medical Forms.  If you have any questions, please let me know.

  • When: 9/25 - 9/27

  • Where: Cubworld located on the Boxwell Scout Reservation (1284 Creighton Lane, Lebanon, TN)

  • Food Cost: $15 per person / $45 per family max

  • Attendance Options (Selection will be made on the sign up sheet)

    • Camp either Friday night, Saturday night or both

    • Attend Saturday activities only

      • If you are arriving on Saturday, please eat breakfast prior to arrival.

Who is Welcome

  • All members of the immediate family, including siblings

  • Each Scout must have at least one adult accompany them on the campout

  • All adults (18+) will need to create an account and complete Safeguarding Youth training at My Scouting

    • This is a Scouting America requirement, and we will be required to have this on file when we arrive at Boxwell.  Please email your certificate to [email protected]

  • All scouts and family members attending camp must fill out Part A and B of the medical form located at 680-001_AB.pdf (scouting.org)

    • These can be emailed to [email protected] or printed and handed in to your Den Leader or the Cubmaster

Agenda (Subject to Change)

  • Friday, 9/25

    • Arrive between 5pm and 8pm and set up camp

    • Dinner will NOT be provided on Friday.  Each family is responsible for their own dinner this night.  The pack will provide heavy snacks

  • Saturday 9/26

    • 8am - 845am: Breakfast Served and Kitchen Cleaned

      • Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, Pancakes, Fruit, Milk, Orange Juice, Coffee

    • 9am - 1030am: Den Activities

    • 1045am - 1145am: Pack Service Project

    • 12pm - 1pm: Lunch Served and Kitchen Cleaned

      • Sandwiches, Chips, Cookie, Fruit

    • 130pm - 230pm: Pack Hike

    • 230pm - 5pm: Free Time

    • 530pm - 630pm: Dinner Served and Kitchen Cleaned

      • Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Green Beans, Salad, Cobbler

    • 630pm - 730pm: Free Time

    • 730pm - 830pm: Campfire

    • 10pm: Lights Out

  • Sunday, 9/27

    • 730am: Breakfast Available

      • Fruit, Breakfast Bars 

    • 1015am: Church Service (Optional)

    • 11am: Camp Broken Down and Departure

  • Free Time Activities

    • Cubworld offers an abundance of opportunity for Scouts

    • There are multiple playgrounds (The Fort, Pirates Cove, Stone Castle)

    • Gaga Ball pit

    • Pack provided games (board games, soccer, etc...)

    • Fishing (Bring your own gear)

      • No fishing license is required on Boxwell property while participating in an official Scout event

Supplies

  • The Pack will provide all gear related to cooking

    • Campers need to bring a mess kit (plate / bowl / utensils)

  • Scouts and their families will need to provide all personal camping equipment

  • The Pack has limited tents and sleeping bags to loan on a first come first serve basis.  

    • Please indicate needs in the signup sheet.
